Betway-Betway-Becomes-First-Springboks-Rugby's Betting-Partner

Betway signed a pioneering agreement with South African Rugby (SA Rugby) to become an “associate partner” of the national Springbok team.

Securing a three-year deal, Betway became the first bookmaker to partner with SA Rugby – a deal that will see its brand promoted in Springbok shorts starting in September.

SA Rugby Chief Executive Jurie Roux revealed that Betway had been chosen as an associate partner after a careful evaluation of the bookmaker’s previous work with its partner sports organizations.

“This new partnership will allow us to work together to bring our passionate fans of the game even closer together,” said Roux.

“We are excited to partner with Betway as it will extend beyond the four white lines of a rugby field – Betway has some exciting new initiatives that will be announced in due course as part of the new partnership, and we are excited to see what the future holds.”

The Betway brand will be stamped on the team’s shorts.

Betway is committed to supporting the grassroots programs and civic duties associated with partnering with South Africa’s most popular national sports team.

The partnership sees in the Betway network another historic South African agreement, as last year the operator became the main sponsor of Cricket South Africa’s test.

“The Springboks are arguably the most successful national sports team in South Africa, with their success deeply rooted in this country’s rich history and culture,” said David Rachidi, marketing manager for Betway SA.

“As a globally acclaimed brand that has found a home in South Africa, such a partnership signifies our commitment to playing a leading role in the growth of the rugby game in every field.”

“Over the years, the team has challenged the high odds that were stacked against them, so we are looking forward to partnering with them as they continue their quest to remain the best rugby team in the world,” concluded Rachidi.
