Scientific Games signed an agreement with the Betsson Group to provide the operator with its OpenTrade platform in the USA.
The multi-year partnership will provide the entire Betsson portfolio with Scientific Games’ Don Best sports data pricing service, providing the OpenTrade platform, which is part of their OpenSports product package.
This will allow Betsson to have access to the top professional and college sports in the United States, both for pre-match and in-game events.
The deal follows Betsson’s entry into the online sports betting market in the United States, after signing an agreement with Colorado’s Dostal Alley Casino in June to launch a proprietary betting system in 2021.
Betsson Group CEO Jesper Svensson said: “Working with Scientific Games, we are in a really strong position to penetrate the US market and provide a world-class sports betting experience for players”.
Keith O’Loughlin, senior vice president of sports betting and platforms at SG Digital, added: “Betsson Group has big ambitions in the US sports betting market. And, we are excited to support your efforts with the launch of OpenTrade ”.
Scientific Games has strengthened its offering in the United States in recent months, expanding its sports betting agreement with Betfred to the state of Colorado. The company also recently signed a five-year contract renewal to continue providing OpenSports to Flutter Entertainment.
