LaLiga – the official Spanish football league – has announced a partnership with Tanzania sports betting provider M-Bet. The contract will give the betting provider access to a wide variety of LaLiga platforms across the East Africa region, with five nations included in the agreement.

The Spanish Championship fan base on the African continent has grown over the past decade. As part of the league’s commitment to this rapidly developing continent, regional partnerships, such as the most recent agreement with M-Bet, are being prioritized.

The contract with the provider will start at the beginning of the 2020/2021 season and will be valid for three years. The settlement includes intellectual property rights, ticket sales and merchandising rights and the sharing of digital assets.

M-Bet agreement covers five countries

As such, football fans in East Africa will enjoy the latest Spanish football action. In addition, M-Bet’s popularity in the region, as well as its reputation for safe betting with a focus on professional football, have accredited it to the LaLiga business.

The following countries will be included in the licensed rights package:

  • Kenya,
  • Tanzania,
  • Democratic Republic of Congo,
  • Uganda,
  • Zambia.

This deal will greatly increase our ability to develop local stars, bringing fans of African legends who have played in LaLiga closer together, ”said Daniel Fischer, the CEO of M-Bet.

With one of the most popular football leagues in the world in partnership with a betting platform that has become relevant in East Africa, fans in the region can expect a lot of news. Since the agreement aims to strengthen ties between Spanish football and fans in the five countries covered by the agreement.
