River Plate, in partnership with Chiliz, the leading blockchain provider for the sports and entertainment industry, announced that it will launch its official $RIVER Fan Token on the engagement and rewards platform, Socios.com.
River Plate are the defending Argentine champions and a true powerhouse of Latin American football, with 36 national league titles and more than 10 international trophies, including four Libertadores and a FIFA Intercontinental Cup.
The $RIVER Fan Token will give the club’s 20 million global fans the chance to get involved and influence the club like never before. For the first time, fans will be able to participate in polls to choose kit designs, new signing numbers, celebratory music, inspirational messages and other topics.

River Plate Fan Token holders will also have exclusive discounts and promotions, as well as the chance to earn exclusive rewards ranging from autographed jerseys, game tickets to club-related NFTs (Non Fungible Tokens).
Through the Socios.com app, fans will also be able to connect with other fans around the world, testing their skills in games and quizzes, competing on global leaderboards and earning rewards, benefits and experiences along the way.
The release date for the $RIVER Fan Token will be announced shortly, as will the subject of the first poll, which will be available on the Socios.com app once the Token is released.
