BGC-announces-collaboration-for-a-Safer-Gambling-Week-2021

Betting and Caming Council (BGC) will join the Bingo Association and Bacta for Safer Gambling Week 2021, which will take place between 1 and 7 November.

The Council says that the organizations will work together to renew their goal of upholding higher standards in the betting and gaming industry.

BGC Chief Executive Michael Dugher said: “As the standardization body representing the regulated gambling and gambling industry, BGC is pleased to support Safer Gambling Week 2021. This is a great opportunity to highlight this fantastic work and to emphasize the difference between the regulated industry and the unlicensed and illegal online black market, which has none of the safeguards that are common among our members. “

The annual campaign has been underway since 2017, when the organization that came before BGC collaborated with others for the first time to promote Safer Gambling Week.

Likewise, this year the event will see a “blitz” of more secure gaming messages at physical locations and online sites.

The BGC says last year’s campaign reported a 19% increase in social media impressions, as posts related to Safer Gambling Week in 2020 were viewed by 19 million people.

Likewise, operators have also reported positive news, with the number of customers using safer gaming tools, such as deposit limits and self-exclusion, increasing.

This year, BGC says that all branches of the regulated gambling and gambling industry will come together to encourage employees, customers and the general public to discuss safer gambling.

BGC joins the Bingo Association and Bacta

Bingo Association Chief Executive Miles Baron said: “Safer Gambling Week is an important part of the bingo industry’s commitment to social responsibility and provides a useful focal point to highlight the activity and support that is available throughout the year”.

Bacta Chief Executive John White added: “Safer Gambling Week once again allows the industry to showcase its one-year commitment to safer gaming. It also brings the customer’s focus to the tools that are available if he, in any case, feel that your game is becoming problematic. These tools continue to grow as we learn more about the safest game and are part of our ambition to cement social responsibility at the heart of our consumer offering “.

The BGC says that organizations wishing to become a registered supporter for Safer Gambling Week 2021 can register online.
