Michigan gaming operators reported a total of $302.7 million in gross revenue from online gaming (iGaming) and online sports betting in September. The figures represent a 3.1% decrease compared to August.
Gross monthly income
The iGaming sector’s gross revenue in September totaled $259.1 million, down from $263.27 million in August. Sports betting gross revenue was $43.6 million, also down from $49.27 million in the previous month.
Monthly adjusted gross income
Combined adjusted gross revenue (AGR) for iGaming and online sports betting reached $256.6 million in September. Of this total, $243.4 million came from iGaming and $13.2 million from online sports betting.
This represents a 1.5% decrease in iGaming AGR and a 61.3% decrease in sports betting AGR compared to August. Year-over-year, iGaming AGR increased by 33.5%, while sports betting AGR decreased by 52.0% compared to September 2024.
Monthly movement
Total online sports betting turnover was US$524.3 million in September, a 54.7% increase from the US$338.9 million recorded in August.
State tax and payment processors reported sending $51.6 million in September, including:

Detroit’s three commercial casinos reported $13.4 million in gambling taxes and municipal service fees paid to the city of Detroit in September, including:

Operators reported $6.1 million in payments made to their respective government agencies in September.
