The Mega-Sena draw, with an accumulated prize of R$90 million, takes place this Tuesday (18), at 8 pm (Brasília time). The draw takes place at Espaço da Sorte, located at Avenida Paulista, nº 750, in São Paulo.

Interested parties can follow the draw through live broadcasts on Caixa’s Lotteries Caixa YouTube and Facebook channels.

The prize is increased due to the fact that it is a competition with a zero ending, receiving an additional amount from the proceeds of five previous competitions, as provided for in the regulations.

Furthermore, people can place bets until 7pm (Brasília time) at accredited lottery outlets throughout Brazil or online.

How to play Mega-Sena?

In Mega-Sena, the player can become a millionaire by matching the six numbers drawn. It is still possible to win smaller prizes by matching four or five of the sixty numbers available on the betting wheel.

To participate, the player must mark between six and twenty numbers on the ticket or choose the “Surpresinha”, where the system chooses the numbers at random. There is also the “Teimosinha” option to compete with the same bet in multiple successive draws.

Betting and pool information

The minimum bet, which covers six numbers, costs R$5.00. The more numbers the player chooses, the higher the cost, but the chances of winning the grand prize also increase.

The Mega-Sena Bolão allows group bets, being a practical strategy for those looking to share the costs. To participate, the player fills in the specific field on the steering wheel or requests assistance from the lottery attendant.

The minimum value for a prize pool is R$15.00 with each share costing at least R$6.00. A pool can have between two and one hundred odds, and accepts up to ten bets, all with the same number of predictions.

Furthermore, the player can purchase shares of the lottery organized by the lottery, in person or online through the official website, paying an additional service fee of up to 35%. However, it is necessary to complete purchases of shares online by 7:30 pm on the day of the draw, with a minimum value of R$20.00.
