The Brazilian Clubs Committee (CBC) is promoting the first edition of the ‘CBC & Clubes Expo’, a fair that aims to bring together the entire sports universe. The event, which takes place at Royal Palm Hall in Campinas (SP), opened space for the participation of representatives and entities from the gaming and betting sector.
The event’s program includes sports clinics and training courses carried out in partnership with Unicamp and UFPR (Federal University of Paraná).
José Francisco Manssur, partner at CSMV Advogados who coordinated the drafting of rules for betting in Brazil during his time at the Ministry of Treasury, participated in the panel: “Online Betting and Games and Their Effects on Brazilian Sports”, last Wednesday (12), alongside Giovanni Rocco Neto (National Secretary of Sports Betting and Economic Development of Sports) and Magnho José (president of Instituto Jogo Legal).
The lawyer returns on the 14th for a special lecture entitled “The Constant Search for Excellence in Club Management”, this time alongside Gilson Calais. The presentation will take place at 3 pm, in the Campinas Room, and will assess the strategic planning of management and the paradigm shift in sports with the arrival of SAF (Sociedades Anônimas do Futebol).

The sports betting and online gaming market will be the subject of another important debate on Friday (14), from 3:15 pm to 4 pm. With the title ‘Integrity, bets and development of sports’, the seminar will take place on the Talks Stage and will bring together the following participants:
- Alessandro Valente (BiS SiGMA Americas),
- Flávio Figueiredo (ABRAJOGO),
- Paulo Sergio Feuz (ANDO Brasil),
- Maria Isabel Bermudez (YE),
- Fabiana Bentes (Sou do Esporte).
Thus, the conversation will explore the post-regulation market, presenting a brief history of the practice in the country and its evolution, the scenario of sports sponsorships and the new dynamics of the sector, in addition to the role of events such as BiS SiGMA Americas in the discussions and maturation of the national industry.
The role of entities such as ABRAJOGO in protecting the segment, society and good practices will also be addressed, with emphasis on combating the manipulation of results and its impacts on the sports ecosystem, as well as the mechanisms used to monitor the integrity of competitions.
In addition, participants will evaluate opportunities for clubs and federations in the development of national sport, with iGaming as a driver of new tournaments and sports categories beyond football.
