Bally’s Corporation and FanDuel Group announced the launch of a sports betting service at Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel and Casino. This is a temporary service that uses FanDuel’s trading technology in conjunction with the PlaySports IGT platform.
The system is considered temporary because the ideal place to receive the sports betting system permanently is under construction and is due to open next year. FanDuel has even partnered with Meadowlands Racetrack in New Jersey, but this new deal expands the operator’s presence in the region.
Bally’s Corporation President and CEO George Papanier commented on the new agreement. “We are very excited to announce the opening of the betting service with FanDuel at Bally’s Atlantic Hotel.”
Papanier further states that “it is the first of many improvement projects we are planning in Atlantic City and is proof of our commitment to reinvest in our portfolio of physical properties”.
Keith Wall, the vice president of retail for the FanDuel Group, also spoke about making the deal official. “We are delighted to be one of the first companies to join Bally’s Atlantic City Casino and Hotel Improvement Project.”
Wall added: “While we are eager to start working on our sports betting even in temporary accommodation, we can’t wait until we’re installed at the permanent location and can show Atlantic City why FanDuel is the No. 1 bookmaker in New Jersey. “.
