DraftKings announced a long-term agreement to sponsor the Center for Gaming Innovation, within the International Gaming Institute (IGI), University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).
The deal includes opening the new DraftKings Game Innovation Studio at UNLV and giving the company access to local talent while deepening ties with the Las Vegas community.
“We are excited to work with the University of Nevada, and its renowned International Gaming Institute, to continue to innovate in global online games,” said Paul Liberman, co-founder and president of DraftKings, in Global technology and product.
He added: “Both DraftKings and UNLV are at the forefront of developing the next wave of technology in the international gaming industry. With the agreement, DraftKings not only has access to the latest insights from Gaming Innovation Studio, it also allows us to deepen our relationship with the Las Vegas community “.
DraftKings invests in Las Vegas betting industry
In January 2020, DraftKings officially announced the opening of an office for 300 people in Las Vegas, giving the company access to some of the betting industry’s greatest talent.
According to the contract with UNLV, access to local professionals and projects created at UNLV, which has a long history of success in the commercialization of game products, from new software to responsible gaming technologies.
In addition, visitors to UNLV will also be able to contemplate the new signage of the Innovation Studio, as well as the brand throughout the Stan Fulton Building.
