This Thursday (5), Oklahoma City Thunder (OKC) and Indiana Pacers begin the decision of the NBA Finals. Game 1 will be played at the Paycom Center, in Oklahoma, at 9:30 pm (Brasília time). The series, best of seven games, promises strong emotions.
On one side, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the current league MVP, leads the Thunder; on the other, Tyrese Haliburton leads the Pacers, the surprise of the Eastern Conference.
OKC had the best regular season campaign and comes into the final with only four losses in the postseason. However, the team is looking for its first title since moving to Oklahoma in 2008 and is experiencing its best phase since the Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook era.
In the NBA betting markets, the Thunder appear as favorites with odds of 1.20, a result of their solid campaign. Meanwhile, the Indiana Pacers appear as underdogs, with odds in the range of 4.0.
However, the path to the finals is by scoring, defeating strong teams like the Bucks, Cavaliers and Knicks. Thus, the Indianapolis team returns to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2000 and seeks the first title in the franchise’s history.
