In a demonstration of recognition for the Santos Futebol Clube reconstruction project, Blaze, the club’s master sponsor, decided to enhance the current contract with Santos without changing the current term, which ends in April 2025.
President Marcelo Teixeira, who participated directly in the process, commented that the appreciation of the contract also means great financial support for the work being carried out.
“At this time of rebuilding the life of Santos Futebol Clube, the participation of partners is important. Joining forces is essential to reestablish the status of one of the great protagonists of Brazilian football.”
For the president of Santos, the appreciation of the contract also means confidence in the “Santos Brand” and its strength in the national and world markets, he also thanked the commitment of all the club’s departments involved.
It is worth noting that Peixe even considered other companies for the most noble space on its uniform. The press speculated that Parimatch (current sponsor of Botafogo) could take over the space, but the deal did not progress.
This is because Blaze has faced problems in recent months with a high number of consumer complaints. Despite this, Alvinegro Praiano chose to continue with the company as its main partner.
Ambassador of Blaze, Neymar contributed to the agreement with Santos
Blaze won the most important space on the Santos shirt in April 2023. The agreement was signed under Andrés Rueda, with Neymar and his father playing key roles behind the scenes.
Currently, Neymar is an ambassador for the company.
While in the quarterfinals of the State Championship, Santos will face Portuguesa next Sunday (17), at 8:15 pm (Brasília time), in Vila Belmiro, in a single match.
In case of victory, the team led by Fábio Carille advances to the semifinals. Peixe only competes in Paulistão and Série B of the Brazilian Championship this season.
