Taking place in the vibrant city of São Paulo, BiS SiGMA South America 2026 is bringing together the region’s leading voices in the gaming, technology and regulatory sectors for a week of high-level networking, exhibitions and thought leadership.
On Monday (6), the SiGMA Awards took place at the Tokio Marine Hall. Among the highlights of the night was the Game Hall ceremony, a kind of Gaming Hall of Fame, which honored personalities whose leadership and innovation played a fundamental role in shaping the gaming and betting scene in South America.

This year’s South American edition honored an influential group of industry leaders and visionaries:
Alessandro Valente
A prominent figure in the Brazilian iGaming market, Alessandro Valente brings more than 20 years of experience to the sector. As founder of BiS and Super Afiliados, he supported international companies that entered Brazil, driving innovation in technology and cryptocurrencies. Its investments in Ana Gaming and Cactus Gaming further demonstrate its commitment to advancing the sector.
Flávio Figueiredo
Entrepreneur and pioneer of iGaming, Flávio Figueiredo is co-founder of BiS and CEO of the iGaming Brazil portal. With more than a decade of leadership in the sector, he has been instrumental in driving market growth, supporting regulatory development and strengthening Brazil’s position in the global betting ecosystem.
Almir Ribeiro
CEO of BetMGM Brasil, Almir Ribeiro is an executive with more than 25 years of experience. He led the creation of Betboo, now part of Entain, and spent years advising companies expanding in the Latin American betting and iGaming markets.
Óscar Orué
As Paraguay’s National Director of Tax Revenue, Óscar Orué oversees tax, customs and gaming regulation. With more than three decades of experience in public finance, he has boosted revenues, modernized administrative systems, strengthened institutional structures, and promoted transparency and national development.
Cássio Filter
With a background in journalism, Cássio Filter currently leads the expansion of KTO in Brazil. At the invitation of founder Andreas Bardun, he transitioned into the iGaming sector and has since played a key role in defining the company’s strategy.
Carlos Cardama
Carlos Cardama brings 30 years of experience in the sector. Born in Argentina and currently based in Brazil, he pioneered the creation of the country’s first bingo card printing company, launched Games Magazine and founded the Brazilian iGaming Summit, contributing to positioning Brazil as a global gaming hub.

The Game Hall was part of a high-level awards show, attended by regulators, industry leaders, executives and innovators from around the world.
