The 2025 SBC Awards nominated the Women’s Gaming Industry Association (AMIG) for “Socially Responsible Initiative of the Year.” The recognition was granted for the project “Responsible Gaming: Protecting You and Your Loved Ones,” developed collaboratively by members to democratize the issue in Brazil.
International recognition for the guidebook
The SBC Awards are one of the leading global awards ceremonies in the betting industry. They annually recognize operators, affiliates, and suppliers in various areas, including payments, technology, marketing, and social responsibility. In 2025, the ceremony will take place on September 18th at the MEO Arena in Lisbon.
The guidebook “Responsible Gaming: Protecting You and Your Loved Ones” earned AMIG a spot. The free educational material focuses on guiding players on safe practices. It’s also available online and has been pinned to the Brazilian Institute of Responsible Gaming’s website, reinforcing its national relevance.
The content was created through a collaborative effort by AMIG members with backgrounds in law, communications, healthcare, and public relations. The importance of responsible gaming in Brazil

Therefore, the booklet aims to educate, prevent, and raise awareness among players. Key topics covered include:
- Regulation and legalization in Brazil
- What is gambling addiction and how to prevent it?
- Mental health and emotional balance
- Safe gaming practices
- Identifying warning signs
- Support and help channels
