The Brazilian portal Site de Apostas has just launched Busca Bets, an innovative and free tool that allows users to customize their choice of bookmakers according to their preferences.

To better understand this new initiative, we spoke with Lucas Oliveira, editor of Site de Apostas, who told us what goes on behind the scenes and what his expectations are for Busca Bets:

Lucas Oliveira: “sitedeapostas.com is a Brazilian portal created to help bettors in every step: from choosing the ideal bookmaker to clarifying doubts about the market. Our biggest differentiator is that the entire team of editors is made up of bettors. In other words, we are a portal created by bettors for bettors – something quite different, considering that much content in the industry is now written by journalists who have no practical experience in betting. We believe that our role becomes even more important at this time of profound changes brought about by regulation.”

Lucas Oliveira: “The main motivation was the need to offer bettors a personalized and safe experience instead of generic and poorly founded recommendations. With the entry into force of the new regulation in 2025, welcome bonuses are no longer the main attraction, and users are forced to look for other criteria to choose their platforms. We saw that many were lost amidst a vast offer of bookmakers and we decided to create a tool that, in a simple and intuitive way, helps to filter the best options according to individual preferences.”
iGamingBrazil: What are the main criteria that Busca Bets uses to recommend bookmakers?
Lucas Oliveira: “The tool allows users to define criteria such as a minimum deposit of 1 real, availability of live broadcasts, mobile apps, and others; as well as various types of promotions, such as cashback or free bets, for example. There are 14 filters in total, with the criteria that we consider most important for most Brazilian bettors. This way, each bettor can select exactly what is most relevant to their gaming experience, while our team ensures that only safe and regulated platforms are presented. And that’s not all of them, as we only list those that we consider to be of above-average quality.”
iGamingBrazil: In a scenario of regulatory changes, how does Busca Bets contribute to responsible gaming?
Lucas Oliveira: “Busca Bets is also the result of our commitment to security and transparency. By offering recommendations that have already undergone a rigorous quality and security filter, we help users minimize unnecessary risks. In addition, our website has been aligned with the new regulations and focused on Responsible Gaming since the beginning. In January, we had also implemented the legalized bet checker – a tool that allows users to quickly confirm whether a bookmaker is duly licensed, by consulting an updated database with all platforms authorized by the Ministry of Treasury. We reinforce the importance of betting only on regulated bookmakers, promoting a safer gaming environment.”
