Caesars Entertainment has signed a multi-year partnership with the Cleveland Cavaliers, with Caesars Sportsbook becoming the official NBA team partner for sports betting.

In a deal that also sees Caesars Entertainment named Official Casino Partner, plans are included to launch a sportsbook at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, the home stadium of the NBA team affectionately known as “the Cavs”.

Among the legendary basketball players who have starred for the Cavs over the years are LeBron James and Shaquille O’Neal.

While no official date has been set for the launch of mobile sports betting in Ohio, legislation has been passed by the state and sportsbooks are set to receive the green light before the end of 2022.

Caesars Sportsbook’s future plans with sports betting

Chris Holdren, Co-President, Caesars Digital, commented, “We are ready to welcome Ohio sports fans to Caesars Sportsbook Empire as we make history with our second bookmaker in an NBA arena.”

“As we prepare to launch sports betting in Ohio later this year, this broad partnership allows us to connect with the Cavs’ passionate and highly engaged fan base.”

“Caesars bookmaker at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse will be a first-class venue, providing an exciting atmosphere for sports betting and more,” concluded Holdren.

Caesars will have access to the official NBA team logos and trademarks, while its own brand will be highlighted during home games and TV broadcasts. When the bookmaker launches later this year, it will have a large gaming space, including betting windows, VIP areas and bar facilities.

Caesars Entertainment is known for sponsoring sports entities, having previously partnered with the Philadelphia 76ers in the NBA, New Jersey Devils in the NHL and Michigan State University Athletics.
