Matt-King-resigns-as-CEO-of-FanDuel

Flutter Entertainment announced that, Matt King, current CEO of FanDuel has announced his intention to leave the group.

During his four years as CEO, King oversaw the company’s transformation from “a daily online fantasy sports operator to the US market leader in online gambling and sports games,” a statement by Flutter.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank Matt for his considerable contribution in helping to make FanDuel the market leader in the USA that it is today,” said Peter Jackson, CEO of Flutter Entertainment.

“FanDuel has achieved so much in the three years since PASPA was revoked and this is largely due to Matt’s leadership and the strong team built around him. Although we are sorry to see him go, he leaves the business in great shape.”

Flutter’s board is currently evaluating the potential merits of listing a small stake in FanDuel in the US, an option that remains under review despite King’s imminent departure.

“It has been a privilege to lead the company for the past four years through what has been an incredibly exciting period for the company,” said King. “With FanDuel well positioned for the next chapter of its growth and always a businesswoman at heart, now is the time for me to take on new opportunities as the next step in my career”.

“I want to thank Peter and the entire Flutter team for their unwavering support since the acquisition of FanDuel three years ago.” I have no doubt that business will continue to be strong, and I wish all my colleagues the best for the future as they continue on to the next stage of growth “.
