PointsBet acquires Premier Turf Club to join the US horse racing industry

PointsBet USA Inc, which is part of PointsBet Holdings Ltd, is planning to acquire Premier Turf Club LLC, an Advance Deposit Wagering company licensed by the Oregon Racing Commission.

This arrangement was established so that PointsBet can enter the online horse racing market in the United States, as the organization continues its expansion process in the country.

“PointsBet is pleased to join forces with the Premier Turf Club. The combination of Premier Turf Club excellence with PointsBet’s Australian racing experience positions us favorably as we prepare to enter the United States horse racing market, ”said company CEO Johnny Aitken.

Aitken added: “This remarkable acquisition complements our internal approach while adding to our first-rate product package, and we are excited to welcome the Premier Turf Club to the PointsBet team.”

The Premier Turf Club, recognized as the “Best kept secret of racing”, has been operating in the segment for over a decade and operates the BetPTC platform. The general manager of the business is Todd Bowker, a professional with a lot of experience in the market. From now on, he will assume the role of vice president of racing for PointsBet USA.

PointsBet will integrate Premier Turf Club employees with its team in the USA

Prior to that, Bowker was a manager at AmericaTab Ltd, where he oversaw the start-up of the company, which has become the fourth largest pre-deposit bet brand in the state of Oregon. In addition, the Premier Turf Club team will be integrated into PointsBet.

Todd Bowker stated, “While the Premier Turf Club was exploring options for how we could enter the sports betting market, we realized from the beginning that we wanted to partner with a highly regarded and experienced operator.”

Bowker continued: “PointsBet’s history of racing in Australia made it the ideal choice, and we look forward to joining your team. We look forward to being able to offer sports betting to our customers in jurisdictions where it is legal, and to expose PointsBet customers to the thrill of betting on races ”.

PointsBet, for its part, issued an official note: “For operators able to take the opportunity, horse racing has a unique role to play alongside sports betting entertainment and content in the United States. The horse racing industry in the US generates more than $ 12 billion annually, with only half of the bets through ADW products legally available in 38 states. ”

The statement continued: “We want to be at the center of innovation in US horse racing. And the ADW system arrives at our growing set of proprietary betting products, which already includes sports betting at fixed odds, PointsBetting and online casino. ”
