Stats Perform expands performance in German football in partnership with Bayer Leverkusen

The sports technology company, Stats Perform managed to increase its performance in the German football championship after closing a contract with Bayer Leverkusen.

According to SBC Notícias, the agreement will allow the club to use the new partner’s Edge Analysis tool, which runs exclusive artificial intelligence (AI) models to improve pre- and post-game analysis.

“We are delighted to improve the existing processes currently in place at Bayer Leverkusen and support them with access to exclusive insights provided through our patented AI models that can only be found in Edge Analysis,” said Stephen Hanke, vice president Stats Perform’s sales to the European market.

In addition, Bayer Leverkusen will take advantage of the performance evaluations of its future opponents, such as game patterns, possession of the ball, influence that each player has in creating real goal opportunities and changes in the tactical form of performance during the confrontation.

“This is my fourteenth year in professional football and I have worked with the Stats Perform team for a long time,” added Marcel Daum, a member of the German club’s sports analysis department.

Daum continued: “Edge Analysis allows us to move from descriptive to predictive analysis, which I think is the future of performance analysis in football. This is what makes Edge Analysis different from other tools in the industry and was the main factor in our decision to work with the platform ”.
