Aiming to enter the betting sector, FuboTV reached 545 thousand users in 2020

FuboTV announced that it ended 2020 exceeding the expectations outlined at the beginning of the year. The company accounted for about 545,000 users, an increase of 72% compared to 2019 and an increase of 35,000 subscribers in the forecasts originally made.

The company also revealed that the figures for the fourth quarter show an evolution in relation to the budget, with a turnover between 94 million dollars and 98 million dollars.

Initially, the yield in that time should have been around 80 million and 85 million dollars. At the end of September last year, the red numbers were $ 404 million.

“FuboTV’s strong preliminary results in the fourth quarter of 2020 exceeded what was already expected to be a record year for the company and demonstrate continued consumer enthusiasm for our offering,” said FuboTV co-founder and CEO David Gandler.

In the penultimate month of 2020, the streaming service revealed its intention to expand business, entering the sports betting sector. Recently, FuboTV raised almost US $ 190 million in its public offering on the New York Stock Exchange, in the United States.

As of now, the company intends to merge the sports betting service with what it considers “the leading live sports streaming package”.
