In 2024, Loterias do Estado do Paraná (Lottopar) raised more than R$27 million, contributing significantly to the development of Paraná.
The state lottery implemented pioneering initiatives in the lottery market, promoting safety and reliability in operations. Adding the collections from 2023, the total reached R$52.5 million, allocated to housing, public security and social actions.
The Government of Paraná authorized an initial investment of R$10 million in the construction of a “Forensic Laboratory to Combat Financial Crimes”. This laboratory will be located at the headquarters of the Scientific Police, in Curitiba, and will help in the detection of money laundering and related crimes.
Qualification at Siscoaf
Lottopar was the first lottery institution qualified in the Federal Government’s financial activity control system (Siscoaf). Therefore, licensed betting sites must develop tools to detect suspicious activities, communicating confidentially to the “Financial Activities Control Council (COAF)”.
In February, another sports betting operator came into operation, in addition to three new certification laboratories. Lottopar accredited “Gaming Associates”, “eCOGRA” and “Quinel”, ensuring the security of lottery operations in the state.
The entity stood out by winning the C-Level of the Year category at BiS SIGMA Americas, thanks to the pioneering initiatives of CEO Daniel Romanowski, being described as the “Oscar” of the sports betting market.
In June, Lottopar authorized Apostou.com to sell the “Raspinha” instant lottery, expanding to more than 2,500 points of sale.
The signing of the lottery concession contracts took place on the B3 Stock Exchange, reinforcing the state lottery’s commitment to compliance and governance. In April, in Buenos Aires, Lottopar signed a protocol of intentions to improve safe gaming practices.
Lottopar promotes “Responsible Gaming week”
The entity promoted “Responsible Gaming Week” in October, bringing together national and international speakers to discuss best practices. Furthermore, the state lottery participates in Cibelae commissions, promoting the exchange of international experiences.
Lottopar, in partnership with the Paraná Football Federation, holds lectures on sporting integrity, involving athletes and referees, to promote safe and responsible gaming. This approach highlights the state lottery’s leadership in strengthening lottery operations and supporting communities in Paraná.
