Caixa Econômica Federal confirmed on Tuesday (14) that the winners of the two +Milionária prizes drawn last Saturday (11) have already claimed their prizes. The winning entries were made at a lottery shop in Santa Maria de Jetibá, in the mountainous region of Espírito Santo (ES).
A group of 24 friends organized a lottery lottery at a local lottery outlet and came out on top. Interestingly, one of the participants registered the initial game but lost the ticket.
Then, to ensure his participation, he returned to the same establishment and repeated the bet with the identical numbers, resulting in a second winning ticket. Later, the first ticket was found.
As a result, the group won a total prize of nearly R$174 million. This corresponds to approximately R$7 million for each member. The winning numbers were 04, 21, 29, 33, 39, and 42.
Tiago Rossi, owner of the lottery shop that sold the winning tickets, comments: “The people in town are very excited, everyone wants to bet, wanting to increase their odds. We’ve had two Lotofácil winners about two and a half years ago, but a prize like this was the first time.”
A challenging betting modality
+Milionária is known for its high difficulty. Maria Luzia Fernandes, president of the Espírito Santo Lottery Association (SINDILOES), explains that the game requires more than just matching the six main numbers.
Furthermore, the bettor needs to hit a combination of two “clovers” in a second part of the bet, which makes the main prize quite rare.
Maria Luzia says: “It’s a very difficult game to get right. I usually say that people from Espírito Santo are very lucky.”
How the +Milionária prize works
According to information from Caixa , +Milionária offers ten prize tiers. The gross prize corresponds to 43.79% of the total proceeds. From this percentage, the system deducts 5% to form the prize guarantee reserve.
The remaining amount is first used to pay the fixed-value premiums:
- Band 10: R$6.00 for bets with 2 correct predictions + 1 clover.
- Band 9: R$12.00 for bets with 2 correct predictions + 2 clovers.
- Band 8: R$24.00 for bets with 3 correct predictions + 1 clover.
- Band 7: R$50.00 for bets with 3 correct predictions + 2 clovers.
After these winners are determined, the remaining amount is distributed among the main prize categories, according to the following percentages:
- Range 1: 62% among bets with 6 correct predictions + 2 clovers.
- Band 2: 10% between bets with 6 correct predictions + 1 or no clover.
- Range 3: 8% between bets with 5 correct predictions + 2 clovers.
- Range 4: 8% between bets with 5 correct predictions + 1 or no clover.
- Range 5: 6% between bets with 4 correct predictions + 2 clovers.
- Range 6: 6% between bets with 4 correct predictions + 1 or no clover.
