In order to support the sector’s arguments and shed light on the issue, Plínio Lemos and Isnaldo Bulhões presented the minister with the latest data presented by the Ministry of Justice on the vulnerability of young people to gambling. According to Plínio, the issue of the involvement of young people and children is a factor that requires attention.

“We reinforce our concern with this survey involving children and adolescents attracted to illegal betting, which, as we know, do not offer safety devices and represent a serious risk to minors”, said Plínio Lemos Jorge.

“We also talked about the initiatives being adopted by the Federal Government to dismantle this organization that operates in the country without authorization and that, in addition to causing losses for bettors and authorized companies, prevents the collection of billions of reais in taxes,” explained Plínio.

Minister Lewandowski has shown himself open to discussing and implementing actions that will impact the gambling sector in Brazil. Although he has not yet taken effective measures in this regard, the ministry endorses that there is much to be done with regard to the gaming and gambling industry.
