Four more sports betting and online gaming companies filed authorization requests for the Brazilian market. The companies Digiplus Brazil Interactive, Pixbet, RioJogos and PlayPix sent the documentation in accordance with the regulations of the Prizes and Betting Secretariat of the Ministry of Treasury.
Pixbet is a partnership with Flamengo and accredited in Rio de Janeiro
It is worth noting that Pixbet is the current master sponsor of Flamengo, which is leading an innovative project for a specific platform for the Rio de Janeiro football club, Flabet. Furthermore, the bookmaker already has a license in the State of Rio de Janeiro thanks to the approval of LOTERJ (Lotteries of the State of Rio de Janeiro).
In addition to these, another 40 operators have already completed the same process, as this first registration period ends next Tuesday (20). The objective is for these players to be able to operate legally from January 1, 2025.
According to the Ministry of Finance’s planning, approved companies will be notified by November 18, and will then have 30 days to make payment for the license.
According to a survey by the consultancy Futuros Possíveis, 36% of Brazilians have already placed bets online, with 78% of this group betting frequently. These numbers show the rapid expansion and growth potential of the sector.
