The Betting Management System (SIGAP) registered new requests from bookmakers seeking authorization to explore the Brazilian market in the last few hours.
The list of new additions includes: VBET (SC Operating Brazil Ltda), Betfast.io (Fast Gaming S.A.), SupremaBet (Suprema Bet Ltda), Betesporte (Betesporte Apostas On Line Ltda), Zep.bet (RRX Soluções Tecnológicas Ltda), King Panda (King Panda Group Ltda), LeoVegas (Boa Lion S.A.), Betspeed (Betspeed Ltda), 1xBet (Defy Ltda), Blow Marketplace (Blow Marketplace Ltda) and Sorte Online (Levante Brasil Ltda).
To date, 40 companies have filed a request with the Prizes and Betting Secretariat to operate in the sports betting and online gaming market. August 20th was the deadline for companies in the sector to apply for licensing so that they can operate legally from January 1st of next year.
According to the schedule, approved platforms will be notified by November 18, and will then have 30 days to make the payment of 30 million reais related to the license.
“The audit process for companies follows a well-defined flow. First, companies need to obtain specific certifications, which are fundamental prerequisites. Next steps for the online betting market
After submitting the application, all companies that have their requests approved will go through the audit process. This process involves evaluating the platform, implemented policies and operational details, ensuring that the company is reputable and able to take care of bettors appropriately.
To give you an idea, according to a recent report by XP Investimentos, this market, in Brazil alone, moved between R$100 billion and R$120 billion in 2023.
