The first edition of the SBC Summit in Lisbon surprised the CEO of Pay4Fun, Leonardo Baptista. “I’m impressed with the size of the first fair in Lisbon and with what they did here. You can already tell that it will be a wonderful event,” he said in an exclusive interview on the opening day.
Regarding Pay4Fun, Baptista commented on the innovations that the company brought to the market, highlighting a crucial solution for the migration of users to the new regulated environment.
“The tool is already in the hands of some operators. We managed to develop an entire solution that allows us to offer a transactional account to end users. We have developed all the details of a project where the user can transfer money from .com and receive the balance at bet. br”, he explained.
He added: “We are streamlining the process. I doubt all users will migrate, but the solution comes to help operators maintain the same status. Everything is already ready, has gone through testing and approvals, and some operators are already working on the migration .”
Expectation for 2025
The CEO of Pay4Fun shared his expectations for 2025, with regulations coming into force in Brazil. “What we understand is that 2025 will be the big leap. Regulation will be something wonderful for everyone, we will see the market grow, but the number of operators will fall. We estimate that the market will double in size financially, but with only a fifth of the operators. “
Asked about the recent ordinance from the Ministry of Treasury, Leonardo Baptista expressed concern about the imposition of an adaptation period only for companies that requested the license.
“We are cutting half of our operator base from October 1st, with this blow. I think it was an abrupt reaction because of the media, considering everything that is already happening”, he pondered.
Despite this, Baptista believes that next year will be positive for the industry. “For us, nothing changes. We are just communicating with operators and, unfortunately, disconnecting those who did not apply for the license. We believe that, in 2025, we will have a more concentrated, but regulated market”, he concluded.
