Esports Entertainment Group Completes Acquisition of Lucky Dino for $ 30 Million

Esports Entertainment Group announced that its licensed gaming subsidiary in Malta, Esport Entertainment (Malta) Limited, has completed the acquisition of Lucky Dino Gaming Limited’s assets for about $ 30 million

The deal ended with money raised from a share offering in February, allowing Esports Entertainment Group to access Lucky Dino’s premium casino platform.

“In the past five years, Lucky Dino has evolved from a small casino operator to a leading casino operator in its segment and with a technology business,” said Esports Entertainment Group CEO Grant Johnson.

Johnson added: “In addition to further strengthening our technology arm, Lucky Dino’s assets will give us a substantial base in several new jurisdictions across Europe, especially Scandinavia, where e-sports are very popular. With 25,000 active casino players per month, we will have a huge opportunity for growth with our SportNation and VIE.bet betting platforms ”.

Lucky Dino, an online casino operator licensed in Malta, recorded revenue of $ 21.5 million and EBITDA of $ 4 million in fiscal 2020. Its technology ownership includes payment servers, affiliate marketing software and a comprehensive CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system.

“In addition, we plan to bring this exciting online casino platform to the United States market in the future, together with our e-sports offering VIE.bet,” concluded Johnson.
