Esportes da Sorte was recently announced as the new master sponsor of Palmeiras women’s football. However, the company now intends to enter the race to become the club’s men’s football partner.
Darwin Henrique da Silva Filho, CEO of the Esportes da Sorte group, confirmed the information. Currently, the spaces are occupied by FAM and Faculdade das Américas.
“We were already located in large centers in the country, but we saw the capital of São Paulo as a watershed for our purposes”, he said in an interview with GE.
The prospects are the best possible, as we want to be long-term partners with Palmeiras.
“We have already made clear our interest in increasing the partnership in the future for the men’s team, with more investments, as today the contract only covers a few properties”, added the group’s CEO.
Sponsorship of R$20 million for Palmeiras women’s football
The value of the agreement between Palmeiras and Esportes da Sorte for the women’s game was not disclosed. However, the sports media revealed that the team should receive 20 million reais annually.
According to GE, the amount represents more than double the amount offered by Betfair last year.
However, there have still been no discussions on the price that the betting company will offer to compete for the men’s uniform. The current partnership yields a fixed R$81 million per season, which can reach R$120 million combined with sporting goals.
Esportes da Sorte should participate in competition at the end of the year
In a recent press conference, Leila Pereira (president of Palmeiras and owner of Crefisa and FAM) stated that she will hold a competition with other companies. This is because the current sponsorship contract ends in December.
Furthermore, Palmeiras must resolve these issues by the second semester. Leila emphasized that she will not “join the pile” of competing for the biggest sponsorship in the country.
It is worth noting that Verdão is the current two-time champion of the Campeonato Paulista and Brasileirão, as well as being guaranteed in the group stage of the Libertadores. women’s football, in turn, won the Paulistão and Libertadores in 2022.
