Palmeiras has just announced a new master sponsor for the women’s team: Esportes da Sorte, a sports betting company operating in Brazil.
Closed this Wednesday (17), the agreement also includes activations in matches of the men’s team as home team, through LED signs and backdrops, as well as actions on social media and on the club’s official website, among other channels.
“It is with great satisfaction that we announce a new master sponsor for our women’s football team, which has been achieving very important achievements on the field, such as the unprecedented Libertadores title in 2022”, declared Everaldo Coelho, Marketing Director at Palmeiras.
“It will certainly be a very successful union with great achievements”, added Coelho.
It is worth noting that the bookmaker will occupy the most important space on the Palestrinas’ uniform, taking Betfair‘s place. The agreement between Palmeiras and Betfair ended at the end of the year and, since then, the club was looking for a new partner for women’s football.
Esportes da Sorte will invest for the first time in women’s football
Sponsor of several men’s teams across the country, Esportes da Sorte will invest for the first time in a women’s team. Still in the sporting world, the company has a partnership with X1 Brazil Combate, the largest one-on-one event in Brazil, and with CazéTV.
“Firstly, we would like to thank Palmeiras for opening its doors so that Esportes da Sorte can be part of this successful family”, stated Darwin Henrique da Silva Filho, CEO of Esportes da Sorte.
“Two giants from Brazil come together for one of the biggest partnerships in national football. We understand that, together, we can do great work. And, help the club to continue perpetuating its status as the Greatest Champion in Brazil”, added the group’s CEO.
According to Nosso Palestra, Palmeiras now has the largest sponsorship in the history of women’s football in South America. Therefore, the team should receive around 22 million reais in 2024, exceeding the amount raised with all commercial agreements in the last year.
2024 season
Currently, the Palestrinas are in pre-season aiming for the start of the Brazilian Championship, in March. For 2024, 12 new players and coach Camilla Orlando were hired. The Palestrinas will also compete in the Campeonato Paulista.
