Times Square will be filled with the colors of Brazil this Friday, June 12th. Promoted by the partnership between Betnacional and Movimento Verde e Amarelo (MVA), the Bandeiraço Times Square MVA & Betnacional is expected to bring together between 3,000 and 5,000 fans in New York on the eve of Brazil’s debut at the World Cup.
The action will take to the heart of Manhattan some of the main symbols of Brazilian fan culture, including the traditional Olinda de Vini Jr. and Galvão Bueno dolls .
The dolls will be transported especially from Pernambuco to the United States, in addition to drums, a monumental flag and activations on digital panels in Times Square.
To hold the event, the Green and Yellow Movement mobilized more than 2 tons of cheering materials, including flags, banners and musical instruments.
Open to the public, the flag will also distribute 300 exclusive commemorative shirts to the first participants of the action.

Official schedule:
- 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm (NYC time): Official gathering at the 5th & Mad bar (7 E 36th St, New York, NY 10016).
- 5:00 pm: Start of the main event in Times Square (Duration: 3 hours).
- 5pm: Samba school drums
- 6:10 p.m.: Bandeiraço begins
- 7:00 pm: End of Bandeiraço
- 7:00 pm: Period of use and display on digital panels.
- Main Location: Times Square (in front of Pelé Store), New York, USA.
Expected audience: 3 to 5 thousand Brazilians and fans present.

According to the organizers, it is possible to reach the meeting location from the following locations:
- 10 min walk from Penn Station
- 15 min walk from Times Square
- 4 minutes from the Empire State Building

Brazil’s debut at the 2026 World Cup
Brazil debuts in the 2026 World Cup this Saturday, June 13, facing the Morocco team. The Group C clash will take place at 7pm (Brasília time) at MetLife Stadium, in New Jersey (USA).
