The Silvio Santos group is entering the online sports betting market. The novelty, known as “Bet do SS”, will be launched via Tele Sena, according to information from Lauro Jardim’s column, from Globo.

Tele Sena is a popular capitalization bond in Brazil, created by the Silvio Santos Group. Launched in 1991, it offers the public the chance to compete for prizes through periodic draws. Furthermore, after one year, they can redeem part of the amount invested.

Expanding online betting market

In recent weeks, several Brazilian TV channels have been moving the online betting market. TV Bandeirantes, for example, announced last Sunday (7) that it intends to invest in this sector.

The broadcaster is in negotiations with bookmakers, but the agreements are facing difficulties due to the proposed percentage of partnership. Band wants to keep 80% of the business, offering only 20% for a known bet.

However, the most famous bookmakers advocate a more balanced split, fifty-fifty. According to them, the proposal for a 50% division is due to the broadcaster’s low audience and the limited offer of sporting events.

But it’s not just Band and SBT that are keeping an eye on this market. TV Globo also expressed interest to the government to operate sports betting in the country. The broadcaster is one of 134 companies that sought accreditation as bettors.

TV Globo’s request was formalized through DFS Entretenimento, the subsidiary responsible for managing the fantasy game “Cartola FC”.

PL dos Cassinos remains after the parliamentary recess

With the regulation of online betting, the gaming market is expected to grow in the national territory. The casino bill began to gain support among senators. Held for almost two years, the proposal must finally move forward.

Rodrigo Pacheco (PSD-MG), president of the Senate, plans to make the agenda a priority after the recess, starting on August 1st. Casinos in Brazil can generate billions in taxes, in addition to creating thousands of jobs.

According to experts, legalization can help combat illegal gambling operations, in addition to creating jobs and boosting tourism.
