With 100 days to go until the 2026 World Cup, Betfair released a survey with updated odds for winning the title. The competition will take place between June and July in North America and already concentrates relevant projections from the international betting market.
According to the numbers presented, Brazil is part of the group of five teams most likely to win the trophy. The estimate indicates a 10% chance of winning the title, a percentage that puts the team on par with Argentina in the general ranking. Meanwhile, Spain leads the projections with 17%, followed by England, with 14%, and France, with 13%.
What are the odds of the selections for 2026 according to Betfair
Betfair detailed the odds assigned to each selection and presented the respective odds for winning the tournament. The list brings together 15 teams with at least a 1% chance of winning the title.

History of champions’ odds in this millennium
Betfair also revised the projections attributed to the champions of the editions held this century. Brazil, winner in 2002, started the competition with a 13% chance. Afterwards, Italy, champion in 2006, had 20%, the same rate attributed to Spain in 2010.
In 2014, Germany started the tournament with 13%. France, champion in 2018, registered 15% at the beginning. Likewise, the winning Argentina in 2022 had 15% before the debut.
Brazil’s commitments in the initial phase
Brazil begins the campaign against Morocco on June 13th. They will then face Haiti on the 19th and Scotland on June 24th, still in the group stage. As preparation, the team will play friendlies against France and Croatia in March. Furthermore, the calendar includes a clash against Egypt in June.
