The FIFA Club World Cup has arrived, one of the competitions most valued by Brazilian fans. Betfair, a specialist in sports odds, calculated the chances of each team winning the competition.

In total, there will be seven teams fighting for the title, which begins this Tuesday, the 12th, at the King Abdullah stadium, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Al Ahly Cairo, Al-Ittihad, Auckland City, Fluminense, Leon, Manchester City and Urawa Reds are the representatives of the latest edition of the seven-team tournament, which will have a new format in 2025.

Manchester is the favorite and Fluminense are fighting for the unprecedented title

As is often the case, the current Champions League champion appears as the big favorite to win the FIFA Club World Cup.

Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City has a 71% chance (odds of 1.25) of winning the competition according to Betfair.

Meanwhile, who appears second in the race for the world title is Fluminense. Fernando Diniz’s men have a 15% chance (odds of 6.0) of winning the tournament for the first time in their history.

Opening of the Club World Cup

To kick off the competition, there will be a duel between Al-Ittihad and Auckland City. Thus, the game starts at 3 pm (Brasília time).

According to Betfair, the Saudis, who have French striker Karim Benzema, are the big favorites for this clash, as they have an 87% chance (odds of 1.06) of advancing to the quarter-finals.

The New Zealand team only has a 4% chance (odds of 25.0) of winning, while a draw, which would take the match to extra time, has a 9% probability of occurring (odds of 10.0).

Whoever wins this duel will face Al Ahly next Friday, the 15th. Subsequently, whoever wins the second clash will face Fluminense on the 18th.

On the other side of the bracket, the first clash also takes place on Friday, when Leon faces Urawa Reds.

In this duel, the Mexican team has a 44% chance of winning (odds of 2.0), according to Betfair.

Urawa Reds’ draw and victory have the same chances of happening, 28% (odds of 3.25). The winner of this game will face Manchester City on the 19th, Tuesday.
