The lottery of the state-owned bank of Espírito Santo, Banestes Loteria, is expected to begin operations by the end of the year. The lottery is a subsidiary of the state-owned bank of Espírito Santo, Banestes.
The company’s CEO, Amarildo Casagrande, stated that the bank is in the process of choosing a partner that will operate the lottery and provide technology.
According to him, Banestes Loteria received three proposals from consortiums created to form a partnership and operate the business earlier this year. According to Casagrande, the process now involves a very careful selection of the partner.
Previously, the bank expected to select a partner by April, and the start of operations was expected by the end of the first half of the year. However, the deadline has now been extended until the end of this year.
According to Amarildo Casagrande, the lottery will be operational by the end of the year. “This partner must have international experience and all the necessary certifications. So, we’re in the process of selecting a partner now, and we hope to begin operating the lottery effectively by the end of the year,” he stated.
For the bank’s CEO, the Banestes Loteria project will bring benefits to the state. He believes these resources can be invested directly in crucial areas, such as education and healthcare, in addition to generating dividends that will be returned to the state government for public policy implementation.
Banestes Loteria will offer products at physical and online points of sale. Negotiations with banking correspondents (Banesfácil) are also planned, as well as opening new locations. The goal is also to offer online options, as these have been well-received by the public.
