Corporate tourism reaches record revenue of R$ 13.7 billion in Brazil

The business travel sector in Brazil has set a new financial benchmark, projecting revenue of R$ 13.7 billion in 2025. This amount represents the highest figure ever recorded and confirms the strength of the segment within national tourism.

The survey indicates that current revenue has surpassed the 2024 mark, when the sector generated approximately R$ 13.6 billion. The Brazilian Association of Corporate Travel Agencies (Abracorp) presented indicators that monitor 11 distinct areas of this market in the country.

Which segments lead in revenue in the corporate travel market?

Primarily, corporate travel plays a significant role in maintaining jobs and boosting income in various services. Air travel generated R$ 7.87 billion during the fiscal year, making it the central component of travel.

Furthermore, the hotel industry reached R$ 4.2 billion, a figure that represents approximately 31% of the total obtained by the Brazilian market.

Services that complement logistics and the passenger experience totaled R$ 893.35 million, reaching 6.53% of consolidated revenue. This set of activities includes products associated with operational support for travelers during their business trips.

Sectoral growth and projections for the national economy

Thus, several areas monitored by the entity registered notable expansions when compared to the previous financial collection cycle. Cruise operations for companies advanced 44.97%, while private transportation services, known as transfers, rose 25.36%.

Simultaneously, road transport saw an increase of 14.89%, and other activities advanced 17.13% in the annual analysis. Thus, the organization forecasts a stable scenario for the year 2026, with an estimated revenue of R$ 14 billion.

This scenario indicates that business tourism remains one of the fundamental pillars for the development of the Brazilian economy. Consequently, the eventual legalization of land-based casinos in Brazil could contribute to strengthening national tourism in the near future.

Currently, the Casino Bill is still awaiting approval in the Federal Senate. Therefore, the sector remains attentive to legislative developments that may impact tourism in the country.
