Chances of winning at Mega

The probability of winning at Mega da Virada varies depending on the number of numbers played. With a six-number bet, the chance of winning the top prize is 1 in over 50 million. With 20 numbers, the chances increase to 1 in every 1,292.

All balls used in the draws are made of solid rubber, weighing 66 grams and with a diameter of 50 millimeters. According to Caixa Econômica, these characteristics are regularly checked to guarantee the impartiality of the process, ensuring that each ball has the same physical condition and probability of being drawn.

How to redeem the Mega da Virada prize

Winners can receive their prizes at Caixa branches. For amounts equal to or greater than R$10,000, payment occurs at least two business days after presentation of the winning ticket and identification document.

If the ticket came from a lottery, the winner must identify themselves on the back before leaving home. Furthermore, the deadline for redemption is 90 calendar days from the date of the draw. After this period, the amount goes to the Student Financing Fund (Fies).
