The Paraíba State Lottery (Lotep) made it possible to deliver a motorized stretcher car to the Governador Antônio Mariz Stadium, Marizão, in the municipality of Sousa, in the Sertão of Paraíba.
The equipment becomes part of the support structure used during matches held at the stadium, ensuring greater agility and safety in removing athletes from the field in cases of injury.
The delivery took place last Thursday (12) and was coordinated by the State Secretariat for Youth, Sports and Leisure of Paraíba (Sejel), under the leadership of Secretary Lindolfo Pires.
The initiative is part of Lotep’s social action policy, which directs part of the compensation provided for in the sector’s regulations to actions that generate a direct impact on society, especially in the areas of sport, social inclusion and regional development.
For the superintendent of Lotep, Francisco Petrônio de Oliveira Rolim, the initiative reinforces the public role of the municipality.
“In addition to regulating and monitoring the gaming and betting sector in the state, Lotep’s mission is to ensure that this activity generates concrete benefits for society. Investments like this contribute to improving the structure of sport in Paraíba and guaranteeing more support for matches held in stadiums”, he highlighted.
Participating in the delivery of the equipment were Fillipi Correia, president of the Project Selection Committee Aligned with State Public Policies, Taciana Marinho and Ariana Galiza, from Lotep’s Public Policy Advisory, who monitor initiatives aimed at the social allocation of counterparts from the regulated sector, as well as the Secretary of State for Youth, Sports and Leisure, Lindolfo Pires, and the Executive Secretary of the department, Harlen Vilarim.

The delivery of the equipment to Marizão, in Sousa, continues a similar initiative carried out by Lotep in 2025, when the municipality also made it possible to donate a motorized stretcher cart to the José Américo de Almeida Filho Stadium, Almeidão, in João Pessoa.
On that occasion, the equipment was delivered during the match between Botafogo-PB and Maranhão, played on January 4th, valid for the preliminary phase of the Copa do Nordeste, reinforcing the support structure for matches held in the main sports venue in the capital of Paraíba.
As in the case of Marizão, the delivery was carried out by Lotep through the social compensation policy linked to operators authorized by the municipality, a mechanism that allows the lottery activity to generate direct benefits for the sport and for the population of Paraíba.
With initiatives such as deliveries made to Marizão, in Sousa, and Almeidão, in João Pessoa, Lotep reaffirms its commitment to transforming lottery activity into concrete investments for sport in Paraíba and for strengthening the sports infrastructure in the state.
