Dafabet, a sports betting platform and master sponsor of Guarani, announced the end of its activities in Brazil this Thursday (10). This decision comes after the company did not appear on the list of betting sites regulated by the Ministry of Treasury.
The closure of Dafabet’s operations will have significant consequences for Guarani, a club in Series B of the Brazilian Championship. The partnership, which began in July, highlighted the brand on the team’s uniforms, Brinco de Ouro stadium and promotional materials.
The company advised its users to withdraw account balances as soon as possible. The government intends to start blocking irregular websites from this Friday (11). The National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL) will be responsible for this action.
In response to Dafabet’s departure, Guarani announced a new sponsorship for their next game against CRB. The club will display the name StarsTEA, a social inclusion project for people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), demonstrating its commitment to relevant social causes.
