Starting this Tuesday (2), the second edition of BiS Brasília 2026 brings together authorities responsible for some of the main discussions that impact the sector in the country.
The event, which expects a 20% increase in attendance this year, takes place at the Royal Tulip Brasília Alvorada between today and tomorrow.
During the morning, the event’s opening speech was given by the co-founders of BiS SiGMA South America, Alessandro Valente and Carlos Cardama, who spoke about the importance of the edition for the country.
“This type of event that we organize is to bring a little more from the community, so that we can have an increasingly constant and solid dialogue”, said Valente.
What are the organizers’ expectations for BiS Brasília 2026
When commenting on the next event, which will take place in João Pessoa, Paraíba, in September, Alessandro Valente highlighted the importance of talking about the topic in different places in Brazil.
“The idea here is to bring the industry to other regions of the country,” he said.
According to him, the main message of the meeting is unity in the segment. “The union between associations, companies, people, executives, the entire sector […] there is no other way to change the narrative without union”, he explained.
He continued by highlighting the importance of knowledge on the topic for the entire Brazilian population with the aim of “demystifying the subject”.
“I’m surprised when I come across groups that are so prepared and selected, but have no knowledge about [the topic].
At next year’s BiS, we want to bring people from college to learn about the subject.”
Valente then thanked the participation of John Aquilina, ambassador of the Republic of Malta to Brazil, who will leave the country this year.
“Congratulations to him for bringing the Maltese embassy for the first time. Until then, the relationship between Malta and Brazil was non-existent, it was very difficult.”

After Alessandro Valente’s speech, Carlos Cardama said he was very happy with the start of another event, citing Brazil’s current situation.
He made a point of, like Valente, highlighting the importance of unity in the segment.
“Our sector could be much better, generating more taxes, more jobs. We are fighting.
That is why the word union is essential. It is essential that the federations and us, the businesspeople in the field, come together and listen to each other.”
Cardama concluded by reminding us about the possible resumption of casinos nationwide, which may be close to happening.
“Casinos are now being approved. Have you ever imagined Brazil, with all the tourist structure it has, what kind of country would it be? Fantastic”, he celebrated.
