Esportes Gaming Brasil, the group that brings together Esportes da Sorte and Onabet, has just announced Hugo Baungartner as its new Chief Executive Officer. Initially, he will assume the role of Chief Business Officer (CBO) focused on Institutional Relations and Strategic Partnerships. Now, Baungartner joins the leadership team with well-defined objectives.
Firstly, it will strengthen institutional relationships with public authorities. In addition, it will strengthen ties with regulatory bodies and strategic partners. Finally, its mission includes driving the group’s expansion in the Brazilian market.
Among his duties, Baungartner will be responsible for liaising with institutions such as the Secretariat of Prizes and Bets (SPA/MF), the Federal Revenue Service, the Central Bank and COAF (Council for the Control of Financial Activities), as well as certifying entities and accredited laboratories. His duties also include preparing the company for changes in the regulatory environment.

With over 28 years of experience in the technology and gaming sectors, Baungartner will also be responsible for developing partnerships with global providers. He will also evaluate merger and acquisition (M&A) opportunities and structure new projects in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Previously, he held leadership positions at companies such as Grupo Aposta Ganha, RCT Gaming and Prohards.
