Betway has announced an agreement with the Ghana Football Association (GFA). As per the terms of the agreement, the bookmaker is the new development partner for the Ghana women’s football league.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The collaboration allows Betway to support Ghanaian teams and help expand competition, while key benefits include a season-long mentorship program with local and international resources for employees of clubs under Betway Ghana’s supervision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kwabena Oppong-Nkrumah, Country Manager Marketing at Betway Ghana, commented: “This is a league that has shown potential, hence the need for a community approach to its development.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, the Super Group-owned brand will provide training equipment to participating clubs, as well as ‘expanded coverage’ of the league in collaboration with the Sports Writers Association (SWAG).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The company said this will be aimed at drawing ‘much needed attention’ to the activities of the Ghana Women’s Football Championship. “The Women’s Premier League has achieved another level of progress over the past two years,” added Prosper Harrison Addo, Secretary General of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“GFA is extremely happy to welcome a global brand like Betway as we continue to expand the boundaries of women’s football in Ghana,” said the sporting body’s secretary general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neal Menashe, CEO of Super Group, stated that the company is taking advantage of Betway to ‘minimize customer acquisition costs’ caused by companies looking to gain a foothold in the US market.
