measures across the country<\/strong>, the <a href=\"https:\/\/igamingbrazil.com\/en\/legislation-en\/2025\/09\/26\/anatel-the-ministry-of-treasury-and-anjl-sign-a-partnership-to-improve-the-blocking-of-illegal-gambling-sites\/\">National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel)<\/a> recorded an exponential jump in notifications sent to internet providers to <strong>restrict undue access.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the year <strong>2025 <\/strong>alone, the agency passed orders for the <strong>suspension of 149 IPs and URLs.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This volume represents an impressive <strong>growth of 725%<\/strong> compared to data from<strong> 2022,<\/strong> a time when the system processed only <strong>18 requests from the Judiciary<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Currently, the authorities&#8217; top priority and the main targets of these judicial restrictions are <strong>clandestine streaming services<\/strong> and <strong>betting blocking that continue to operate outside the new federal legislation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How the agency works to block bets and other irregular pages<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite leading the notifications, it is important to clarify that Anatel<strong> does not have the technical or institutional autonomy to overturn access to a page on its own.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The federal agency therefore acts strictly as an <strong>official bridge,<\/strong><strong> operating <\/strong>as an <strong>intermediary<\/strong> between court rulings and the companies that provide the internet signal to the population.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thus, the municipality has already officially declared that it <strong>&#8220;does not have factual and legal means&#8221; to carry out the interruptions in isolation<\/strong>, limiting its role to <strong>direct assistance in complying with administrative and judicial requirements.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Due to the imposition of <strong>&#8220;judicial secrecy&#8221;<\/strong> in most cases, the exact details and motivations behind many of these warrants are <strong>not disclosed to the public.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What is known is that the entire legal basis for these restriction actions is, of course, anchored in provisions of the Code of Criminal Procedure, the <strong>Code of Civil Procedure and the General Telecommunications Law.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Anatel <strong>centralizes these orders and passes them on to providers on a national scale, <\/strong>who are obliged to apply them under the strong threat of suffering <strong>severe regulatory sanctions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The strong supervisory advance on betting and audiovisual content<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The growing number of restrictions gains even more strength when we observe the <strong>direct demands of other strategic government departments.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With the complex mission of <strong>regulating the gaming market and curbing the activities of illegal operators<\/strong>, the <strong>Prizes and Betting Secretariat (SPA) of the Ministry of Finance<\/strong> has already demanded restrictions that affect <strong>more than 44,000 virtual addresses since October 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At the same time, the <strong>fight against piracy of audiovisual content <\/strong>also reached a new level of intensity.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.br\/ancine\/pt-br\">National Cinema Agency (Ancine)<\/a>, which since 2024 has gained the technical prerogative to suspend and revoke the unauthorized exploitation of protected works, <strong>requested the takedown of almost 24,000 IPs and pages between the years 2025 and 2026.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This major joint offensive demonstrates a <strong>new era of inspection<\/strong>, aiming to<strong> clean
