There is a perception that Brazilians feel more inclined to place <a href=\"https:\/\/igamingbrazil.com\/en\/sports-betting-en\/\">sports bets<\/a>. This impression was confirmed by a survey carried out by the consultancy<a href=\"https:\/\/ilumeo.com.br\/\"> <strong>Ilumeo<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to her, <strong>47% of Brazilians have already placed bets on sports on some platform and 36% have considered trying it<\/strong>. But 17% said they don&#8217;t like <a href=\"https:\/\/igamingbrazil.com\/en\/sports-betting-en\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"Sports Betting\">sports betting<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Choosing the platform for sports betting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The research sample was <strong>2,327 people distributed across all regions of Brazil<\/strong> between May 20th and June 9th of this year. The aim of the study was:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Map the penetration of the betting habit<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Understand the motivations behind this behavior<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For those who are in the habit of participating in <a href=\"https:\/\/igamingbrazil.com\/en\/sports-betting-en\/\">sports betting<\/a>, the main motivation is the <strong>possibility of generating extra income (62%)<\/strong>. For only <strong>37%, the reason they place sports bets is for pure fun<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is still a third profile<strong> (22%) who stated that when they see <a href=\"https:\/\/igamingbrazil.com\/en\/sports-betting-en\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"Sports Betting\">sports betting<\/a> as a type of investment<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite presenting many motivations, Ilumeo&#8217;s research also highlighted the <strong>fears that prevent some Brazilians from betting<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So, the main reason given (39%) is the belief in the lack of necessary skills. But for 27% the chances of winning are simply low. Other fears include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Fear of compulsion (31%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Financial conservatism (20%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When asked about the factors that influence the choice of betting platform, 70% of respondents cited the brand&#8217;s reputation. This index is higher than the ease of using the application or website (cited by 61%) and the advantages of promotions or bonuses (57%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thus, <strong>advertising on social media was cited by 28% as a motivating factor<\/strong>. If the brand is a sponsor or partners, this is important for 27% of respondents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As for actions with so-called influencers, this relationship is important for 20% of those interviewed as the main reason when choosing a bookmaker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"696\" height=\"375\" src=\"https:\/\/igamingbrazil.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Crescimento-e-motivacoes-dos-brasileiros-em-relacao-as-apostas-esportivas.jpg\" alt=\"Sports betting increases among Brazilians\" class=\"wp-image-153641\" srcset=\"https:\/\/igamingbrazil.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Crescimento-e-motivacoes-dos-brasileiros-em-relacao-as-apostas-esportivas.jpg 696w, https:\/\/igamingbrazil.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/06\/Crescimento-e-motivacoes-dos-brasileiros-em-relacao-as-apostas-esportivas-300x162.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Photo: Freepik \/ master1305<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Brand recall<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Despite saying that the brand&#8217;s reputation is an important factor, the proliferation of betting companies generates some confusion among consumers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Spontaneously, when asked which bets they remembered, those interviewed by Ilumeo cited 200 different brands. The most remembered were:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/igamingbrazil.com\/en\/bookmakers\/2024\/05\/27\/conar-formalizes-the-membership-of-betano-rei-do-pitaco-and-caesars\/\">Betano<\/a><\/strong> (90%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/igamingbrazil.com\/en\/online-en\/2024\/04\/26\/bet365-and-relax-gaming-partnership-in-spain\/\">Bet365<\/a><\/strong> (85%)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/igamingbrazil.com\/en\/bookmakers\/2024\/06\/24\/investigation-reveals-suspicious-companies-in-the-relationship-between-corinthians-and-vaidebet\/\">VaideBet<\/a><\/strong> (48%)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Therefore, the <a href=\"https:\/\/igamingbrazil.com\/en\/sports-betting-en\/\" data-internallinksmanager029f6b8e52c=\"2\" title=\"Sports Betting\">sports betting<\/a> scenario in Brazil is growing, driven by media exposure and the economic motivations of bettors.
