with group revenue reaching <strong>\u20ac78 million<\/strong>, as it continues to diversify and expand its revenue streams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Revenue increased by <strong>39%<\/strong> over a period when it acquired<strong> Skycon Limited<\/strong> for <strong>\u00a345m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The acquisition gave <a href=\"https:\/\/igamingbrazil.com\/en\/online-en\/2023\/08\/15\/better-collective-strengthens-presence-in-sweden-with-new-acquisitions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Better Collective <\/a>access to the UK company&#8217;s expertise in display advertising, as well as paid advertising across channels that include <strong>sports media<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Skycon integration is off to a &#8220;great start&#8221;, according to Better Collective CEO <strong>Jesper S\u00f8gaard<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;By incorporating Skycon into our paid media division, we unlock new growth opportunities and expand our offering to advertising partners,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>S\u00f8gaard<\/strong> credited the company&#8217;s commercial team in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/North_America\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">North America<\/a>, where he is &#8220;happy to see further diversification of revenue streams in this region through sponsorship sales on products such as our podcasts and YouTube shows.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Looking to the future, he continued,<strong> Better Collective<\/strong> is &#8220;busy exploring AI-powered solutions, potential mergers and acquisitions, as well as ways to leverage its potential and mitigate risk.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In explaining the company&#8217;s second-quarter growth, <strong>S\u00f8gaard<\/strong> credited media partnerships and &#8220;a sporting margin of victory above our expectations&#8221;, as well as North America and Skycon, as key drivers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sportstrategies.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Better-Collective_photo.jpg\" alt=\"Better Collective breaks record in Q2 with 39% growth.\"\/><figcaption>The company continues to break records in 2023.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Better Collective Q2 overall growth<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Better Collective&#8217;s record revenue of <strong>\u20ac78.1 million<\/strong> in Q2 represented an increase of 39% compared to 2022, when it achieved <strong>\u20ac56 million<\/strong> in the same period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Copenhagen-based branch also saw its costs rise in Q2, with a <strong>13%<\/strong> increase taking the figure to<strong> \u20ac49.4m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Operating profit before depreciation, amortization and special items increased by <strong>135%<\/strong> reaching<strong>&nbsp;\u20ac28.7 million<\/strong> compared to <strong>\u20ac12.2 million<\/strong> in the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Looking more closely at the type of revenue, Better Collective saw a <strong>41%<\/strong> growth in publishing revenue, reaching <strong>\u20ac53.5 million<\/strong>, while its paid media division increased its revenue by <strong>37%,<\/strong> reaching <strong>\u20ac24.6 millions<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, operating profit before depreciation, amortization and special items was much higher for paid media than for publishing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Paid media saw this figure increase by<strong> 240%<\/strong> reaching <strong>\u20ac7.5m<\/strong>, while publication saw a <strong>111%<\/strong> increase, reaching <strong>\u20ac21.16m<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Better Collective&#8217;s shift in strategy towards becoming the world&#8217;s leading digital sports media group has resulted in the development of several partnerships with traditional news outlets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This includes deals with <strong>Goal.com<\/strong>, as well as Nigerian outlet <strong>Punch<\/strong> and Polish media company <strong>Wirtualna Polska<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/igamingbrazil.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Better-Collective-assina-parceria-de-midia-e-apostas-esportivas-com-a-Goal-1.png\" alt=\" Better Collective and Goal\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When looking at regional revenue, the <strong>North America<\/strong> operations saw the most growth, with an increase of<strong> 60%<\/strong> on the previous year, reaching<strong> \u20ac22.9 million<\/strong>, compared to <strong>\u20ac14.3 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In Europe and the rest of the world, over the same period, there was an increase of<strong> 32%<\/strong>, reaching <strong>\u20ac 55.2 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Operating income before depreciation, amortization and special items for Europe and the rest of world also grew by <strong>64%<\/strong>, while operations in North America increased by just<strong> 1.2%<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A strong performance in the first quarter<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Better Collective also saw growth in its financials during the first half of the year, with its revenue growing by<strong> 35%<\/strong> compared to 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It earned <strong>\u20ac166 million<\/strong>, compared to <strong>\u20ac123.4 million<\/strong> a year earlier in the same six-month period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Operating profit before depreciation, amortization and special items for the first half increased by <strong>75%<\/strong> totalizing<strong> \u20ac62 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That figure for paid media, similar to Q2&#8217;s metric, saw a <strong>203%<\/strong> increase getting to<strong> \u20ac15.4m<\/strong>, while publishing saw a<strong> 54%<\/strong> increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In terms of revenue share, publishing accounted for <strong>\u20ac112.8m<\/strong>, with a growth of<strong> 30%,<\/strong> and paid media increased by <strong>44%<\/strong> reaching <strong>\u20ac53.3 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Europe and the rest of the world increased first-half revenue by <strong>36%<\/strong> to<strong> \u20ac106 million<\/strong>, while North America in the same six months increased its revenue by <strong>32% <\/strong>reaching&nbsp;<strong>\u20ac60 million<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Better Collective also reported net income after tax of <strong>\u20ac29.2 million<\/strong>, along with cash flow before special items of<strong> \u20ac67.6 million<\/strong>, compared to <strong>\u20ac35.6
