A bet made at a lottery shop in Matozinhos, a city in Minas Gerais in the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte (MG), guaranteed a single winner the prize of R$127,048,366.05 in the Mega-Sena lottery, drawn last Saturday (21).
The winning ticket was a single bet and the contest had been running for 12 draws. The numbers drawn were: 15 – 16 – 43 – 46 – 47 – 51.
In the quina range, 116 bets got five numbers right and received between R$75,238.28 and R$300,952.97. In the quadra range, more than 9 thousand bettors took home R$1,349.50 each. Meanwhile, the Timemania and +Milionária contests ended with accumulated numbers. Lotofácil had three winners, and Dia de Sorte had one winner.
Prize moves city, but winner’s identity remains a mystery
Since the results came out, Matozinhos has been divided between surprise and curiosity about who won. The State of Minas was there on Sunday (22), with people going to mass, buying bread and meat as they always do, and most of them didn’t even know about the prize yet.

The winning bet was registered at Mega Sorte, located on Avenida Caio Martins. However, the location was closed on Sunday.
At the gas station next to the lottery shop, attendants Marcela Pereira da Rocha, 47, and Silvânia Santos Silva, 46, spoke to EM about the impact of the news. Silvânia said: “A store employee came by and confirmed that the game was played on Mega Sorte, but she doesn’t know who the winner was.”
Marcela speculated: “She’s going to disappear. If it were me, I wouldn’t even come to work today. Just think if people find out who it was. They’re going to ask for money. Me, huh! I was going to disappear anyway. I don’t think I’d ever come back here.” The two are already planning to get colleagues together to organize a lottery.
