Caixa will hold the 2,875th Mega-Sena lottery draw this Thursday (12), starting at 8 pm, in São Paulo. The estimated prize is R$90 million for whoever guesses the six numbers drawn.
In the last draw, held on Tuesday (10), no bets matched all six numbers. Therefore, the prize accumulated.
How to bet on Mega-Sena?
Bets can be registered until 7:00 p.m. (Brasília time), either in person at lottery outlets or online. The service is available on the Caixa Econômica Federal website, accessible via cell phone, computer or other connected devices.
To place a bet online, you must register on the website, be of legal age (18 years or older) and provide your credit card details.
The minimum bet costs R$5 and allows you to choose six numbers. However, the value varies depending on the number of numbers selected.
Mega-Sena pool
In addition to individual bets, it is also possible to participate through a pool, a form of collective betting. In this format, a group of people place a bet together, which increases the chances of winning. If the group wins, the amount is divided among all participants in the share.
In addition, you can purchase shares directly from lottery shops or organize a lottery pool with friends and family. The minimum value of the lottery pool is R$10, and each share cannot cost less than R$5. Each lottery pool can have from two to 100 shares.
Draws and odds
Mega-Sena has three draws per week: always on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. According to Caixa, the odds of winning vary depending on the type of bet. In a simple bet with six numbers, the chance of winning the main prize is 1 in 50,063,860.
Finally, whoever chooses to mark 15 numbers – the maximum limit allowed – and pays R$22,522.50, has a one in 10,003 chance of winning the million-dollar prize.
