Sportradar announces the opening of its first office in Brazil, located in São Paulo, an important milestone in its expansion strategy in the country and in Latin America.
This initiative reinforces the company’s ongoing commitment to the Brazilian market and highlights the growth potential of the sports betting sector, which is in the process of regulation.
Brazil has the potential to become one of the largest regulated sports betting markets in the world, with gross revenue from online gaming (GGR) estimated to more than double over the next five years: R$18.4 billion (US$3, 18 billion) in 2023 to R$50.5 billion (US$8.75 billion) in 2029.
The opening of the office in São Paulo will allow Sportradar to strengthen its local presence, as well as deepen customer relationships and support the development of the regulated sports betting market in the country.
The company has partnerships with sports federations and regulatory bodies
For almost a decade in Brazil, Sportradar has been providing sports betting operators with innovative artificial intelligence-based solutions for fan engagement, helping them capture market share and drive growth.
Additionally, the company has entered into partnerships with leading regional and local sports federations in the sports of football, volleyball and basketball, helping them monetize their data and protect the integrity of their competitions.
Sportradar also established formal cooperation agreements with the Federal Police and the Ministry of Treasury, bodies responsible for regulating sports betting.
Eduard Blonk, Chief Commercial Officer at Sportradar, said: “We have already established a solid business base in Brazil and see immense growth potential, driven by the large population and the widespread popularity of sports, especially football, an area in which we are global leaders. “.
“Therefore, our commitment to preserving the integrity of Brazilian sport reflects Sportradar’s broader mission: to promote a responsible and sustainable industry, operating in a regulated environment.”
