The Public Ministry of Goiás (MPGO) has just signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sportradar, a global leader in sports technology. Under the terms of the MoU, both will share data and information. The objective is to protect and maintain sporting integrity in the State of Goiás.
Felippe Marchetti, Integrity Partnership Manager at Sportradar in Brazil, stated: “We are pleased to further expand Sportradar Integrity Services in Brazil.”
“Agreements like this with the MPGO will help us reduce betting-related corruption threats in our ongoing fight for transparency in Brazilian sport,” he added.
Sportradar agreement with the Ministry of Treasury
Recently, the company closed another agreement of great importance in Brazil. On October 29th, Sportradar celebrated the signing of the Technical Cooperation Agreement (ACT) with the Ministry of Treasury.
The ACT aims to support the technical team at the Prizes and Betting Secretariat (SPA). SPA coordinates the authorization, inspection and sanctioning of online gaming and sports betting operators in the country.
Sportradar’s Integrity Services division will provide its expertise. They will report suspicious incidents through market monitoring and offer strategic advice.
In addition, the sports technology company will support the ongoing training of the secretariat team regarding match manipulation. This will improve knowledge and understanding of the topic.
On the occasion, Regis Dudena, Secretary of Prizes and Betting, stated: “The partnership with Sportradar will be an important tool to combat a major threat to the fixed-odd betting market, which is the risk of manipulation of sporting results.”
Felippe Marchetti, in an official statement, highlighted: “The signing of the Technical Cooperation Agreement is a source of pride for Sportradar and we are grateful for the confidence shown by the Brazilian Ministry of Finance in the experience of the Integrity Services division.
This ACT reflects a mutual commitment to establishing a sustainable and regulated sports betting sector in Brazil, built on a foundation of integrity.”
