Liga Forte União (LFU) is looking for an entity specialized in the sale of international broadcasting and betting rights for club games starting from the 2025 Brasileirão of Series A and B.

If the current number of top division teams continues, the LFU will be able to offer 228 sports games on the international market. The elite national football teams that are part of the Liga Forte are:

Furthermore, practically all Serie B teams are LFU affiliates, of the 20 teams, 17 are part of the league. This number may decrease in 2025, but one fact is clear: more than half of the clubs in Segundona next year will be in this group. Therefore, this asset can be included in the package offered on the market.

Brasileirão is a winning opportunity for bookmakers

This fact is especially important for betting platforms, which seek live sports broadcasts, 24 hours a day, in different time zones. The idea is to inspire bettors from all over the world.

So for these companies, it’s not so much the quality of the games broadcast that matters, but access to the content at any time.

In other words, the more live games on different days of the week, the better it will be for them. Because these are games from a country with a global reputation in the sport like Brazil and this makes it an even more attractive product.

Proposals for international and betting rights

According to LiveMode, LFU’s partner in the Brasileirão’s national rights, it should not carry out this task of mediating an international partner. The company has already signed an agreement with Record and YouTube, which will transfer the rights to Cazé TV.

Thus, this contract will cover a package of 38 games, one per round, in the Brasileirão, valid from 2025 to 2027. The LFU plans to hear proposals from companies such as IMG, Infront and 1190 Sports for international and betting rights.

These companies play an important role in marketing TV rights. LFU believes that with proper use of these assets, there will be an increase in value in the coming years.

Contribution of Infront and 1190 Sports to the Brasileirão

The Swiss company Infront is responsible, this year, for the sale of international rights and bets for teams in the Brazilian Football League (Libra).

1190 Sports, in partnership with Zeus Sports Marketing, owns these assets between 2020 and 2023. During this period, 1190 Sports will broadcast the tournament in more than 170 countries and in 13 languages, reaching 650 million people.

The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) promotes these rights to publicize the Brazilian competition abroad. But the expansion of transmissions to other countries is the responsibility of the agencies that hold these rights.
