The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games begin today (29), and Peru will be represented by a record delegation of 13 athletes. Apuesta Total, a Peruvian betting company, is the main sponsor of this historic participation.

After participating in the Paris Olympic Games, Peru enters the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games with the largest delegation in its history, including 13 athletes and 4 assistants/guides.

The highlights of this edition are Pilar Jáuregui and Jorge Arcela, who were chosen as flag bearers due to their achievements in parabadminton and multi-sport shooting, respectively.

Also worth mentioning is Angélica Espinoza, who with her gold medal in Tokyo 2020 brought a new era of achievements to Peru, ending a 20-year wait for gold at the Paralympic Games.

The National Paralympic Association of Peru (ANPP), linked to the International Olympic Committee, is the entity responsible for promoting parasport in the country.

Since 2022, ANPP has been sponsored by Apuesta Total, a strategic alliance that aims to support the continued development of Peruvian Paralympic athletes. Gonzalo Pérez, CEO of Apuesta Total, confirmed that this partnership is long-term, reaffirming the company’s commitment to sport.

With the support of Apuesta Total, Peruvian athletes are ready to make history in the 2024 edition. With 22 sports in dispute, the games will end on September 8 in the French capital.
